A Fortune 500 Financial Services Giant Fosters Diverse Talent Through Kahilla

Diverse team in a business meeting

A leading Fortune 500 financial services giant committed to diversity and inclusion faced a challenge many large organizations encounter: retaining and engaging talented women while building a robust leadership pipeline. To address these needs, the company implemented Kahilla to empower and connect women in their professional journeys. This use case explores how Kahilla has impacted the organizations’ diverse talent landscape, including:

  • Increased engagement and retention among female employees: Kahilla provided a platform for women to connect, learn, and support each other, fostering a sense of belonging and community. 38% of Kahilla members feel more likely to stay with their company as a result of their membership.

  • Enhanced leadership development: Kahilla offered targeted learning programs and mentorship opportunities specifically designed for women aspiring to leadership roles. This increased the number of women in the company's leadership pipeline within six months of implementation.

  • Improved networking and collaboration: Kahilla facilitated connections across departments and geographies, breaking down silos and fostering cross-functional collaboration. This led to an increase in cross-functional projects initiated by female employees.

Kahilla curates and provides a constant stream of intimate engagements and content from world-class experts across a range of subject matter. This is something an internal ERG and internal online community manager simply can not replicate at the same scale and for the same cost-effectiveness.

Listening to the Kahilla webinars (at least) once a week has been a mental and professional lifesaver for me.  I try to [log on] once a week — and more if work allows. [I am] a mom with two kids (+ a husband who seems like he has the same needs as kids!) and trying to keep my professional self highly functioning has been a challenge.  While this challenge is probably nothing new to members of my employee resource group, no one in my immediate work team is in the same position nor seems to recognize this “double-work” challenge.  ….  There have been (and still are) times I look at it all and wonder if I can get through the constant juggle – let alone that there doesn’t seem to be any relief coming soon.   Listening to the Kahilla webcasts with their amazing speakers and the team leading the questions and sharing their thoughts are nuggets of inspiration, relief, joy, and personal growth moments that I look forward to.  Their sessions have kept me going and addressed the crucial intersection of “balance” between work and life in an amazing way.

This success story with Kahilla demonstrates the power of social learning in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. By providing a platform for connection, learning, and support, Kahilla has empowered women to reach their full potential and contribute to the company’s continued success. As the organization continues to invest in its diverse talent, Kahilla remains a vital tool in driving inclusion and building a leadership pipeline for the future.
